SteamWorld Dig coming to Xbox One
If you haven’t played SteamWorld Dig and own an Xbox One, the game will be getting a release later this year. This according to Image and Form CEO, in a conversation with a media outlet. We reviewed it a while back when it was ported to Wii U, and gave it a great score. Hopefully, we can review it again!
Image and Form has stated that this will not be just a port. There is suppose to be a fun Easter egg hidden in SteamWorld Dig on Xbox One that is not available on the other platforms. That alone might get some people who already own it on a previous platform to shell out a bit of money and buy it again.
My thought: buy SteamWorld Dig on Xbox One now and get ready for Image and Form’s newest title, SteamWorld Heist, later this year.
From Image and Form Games:
We’re preparing quite an elaborate Easter egg for the Xbox One version – a gaming thing that we really wanted to reference. And added a number of tweaks to make it better overall. In many cases we prefer to keep our versions similar to each other since it keeps everybody happy.
We don’t have a firm release date yet, but we expect SteamWorld Dig to arrive on the Xbox Store by late May. We’re overjoyed by the fact that we’ll soon have our first Xbox release. Xbox fans have been asking for quite a while and now we can finally let them get their hands on the game.
