Final Fantasy VIII Planned for Steam
Square Enix released Final Fantasy VII for PC last year, and while it never made it to Steam, there was almost definitely reason to think it would. For whatever reason, it never happened. Someone has found something interesting in the Steam back-end though: a set of very specific achievements.

Of course, there’s only really one game this set of achievement might represent. Square are bringing Final Fantasy VIII to Steam, or at least they plan to. The list of GFs, SEED Salary, the Draw system; presume for now that there’s a very good chance this could make an appearance in the next Steam sale.
Final Fantasy VII and VIII have been on Steam – in the registry – since at least 2010, but the addition of achievements might mean this is far closer to release than we think.
