Awkward – David Hayter Urged to Follow Phantom Pain News Feed
There’s probably only one person in the world that you shouldn’t offer the latest Metal Gear Solid V: Phantom Pain news to, and that’s David Hayter.
The Solid Snake actor was supposedly removed from the cast of the next game without even so much as a polite warning until days before the announcement that Keither Sutherland was taking over the role of Big Boss.
And while it’s still not certain whether Hayter will be making an appearance as a young Solid Snake, the smart bet would be on it being a sore subject for the writer and actor, who is also known for his work on the early X-Men films and Watchmen.
In a Tweet last week, Hayter posted the sort of message he sometimes receives.
RT – “You are literally my favorite video game voicer! Follow my Twitter for news on the new MGS game coming out!” Yeah, sounds great.

Although we couldn’t find the exact Tweet, we presume this is a humourous take on something that actually happened, because this is the internet and why on earth not? There’s no doubt that – like Roger Waters being asked to sign The Division Bell or Freddie Mercury signed copies of Made in Heaven on eBay – someone out there would do this in a heart beat.
