Puyo Puyo Tetris Falls Onto the Nintendo Switch In April

Tetris is one of the best video game puzzle games out there, if not the very best. There are a lot of other really good puzzle games too and one of them is Puyo Puyo. I really liked the Mean Bean Machine verison of the series in particular. And now Tetris and Puyo Puyo will have a crossover game with Puyo Puyo Tetris! The game will be coming to the Nintendo Switch in April. We have more details about the game and a trailer below.

Puyo Puyo Tetris will be coming to the North American Nintendo Switch on April 25 and to the European Switch on April 28th. The title will be $40 at NA retail stores and $30 on the Nintendo eshop. The retail version of the game will come with two Puyo Puyo Tetris themed keychains. Unfortunately, Puyo Puyo Tetris will be sold in “limited quantities” at retail.

Here are some details about the game:

” – Versus – Players compete head-to-head in either Puyo Puyo or Tetris to fight in the puzzle fight of their life.
– Swap – Players’ abilities are put to the ultimate test when they compete on both Puyo Puyo and Tetris boards, which switch back and forth at set intervals.
– Fusion – A true hybrid game where players compete with Puyos and Tetriminos together on the same board, requiring deft, on-the-fly thinking to become victorious.
– Big Bang – It’s a race to the finish as players compete against each other to clear unique challenge boards as quickly as possible to win.
– Party – Players compete on Puyo or Tetris boards, but the puzzles feature special items that when activated either help players or harm their opponents. ”
