More Thoughts From Me: Staring At the Ghosts of New Eden

New Eden. 1695. There’s a curse and ghosts are everywhere. Banishers are out and about trying to figure out whats going on and getting rid of the ghosts too. Welcome to Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden. The game is coming out next week and I just heard about it. Let’s talk about this game!

I was on Twitter (yes I still call it Twitter) and the amazing Bex, reviewer and gamer, mentioned that they were going to review a game called Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden. I had never heard of this game. I went and look up a trailer. Oh my god. What! This game looked amazing.

Just as an aside, I’ve always loved stuff about ghosts: Ghostbusters, Supernatural, books, whatever. I’m a fan of the paranormal. I’d probably run away screaming if I ever saw a real ghost, but I like fictional ghosts just fine. And this game looks absolutely wonderful.

Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden is an action/adventure rpg. You play as two Banishers, also lovers, who are trying to figure out what the heck is going on when bunches of ghosts show up. You can get rid of the ghosts by banishing them, you can help them find peace, or you blame and punish the mortals responsible for their deaths. Banishers offers the player choices that effect the game. You can also use a skill tree to level up your characters. The players fight style can be with a sword or with magic and/or long range weapons.

The visual look of Banishers is similar to games like The Witcher and Skyrim. But with ghosts of course. The ghost part is definitely what draws me to the game. The effects for banishing and the ghost effects in this game just look really cool.

I’m hoping that Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden is as cool as it looks. I really want to play this game!

Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden comes out on February 13th, 2024. Thats next week! I can’t believe this game escaped my notice. Thank you so much to Bex again for pointing out this game.
