Borderlands 3 Coming to PS4, Xbox One, PC
The next Borderlands is being developed “specifically for next-gen consoles” according to Take-Two president Karl Slatoff.
He confirmed the not-entirely-unexpected fact during an earnings call this week.
While nothing else was revealed about the game – not even a hint at when it may be released – the fact that it’s now being spoken about even quasi-publicly indicates that it may get a reveal over the coming months.
This follows Randy Pitchford’s reveal last week, although, again, little detail was given.

It seems possible that information about the new game in the franchise will be available around the time of The Handsome Collection, which is released in March.
Remastered sets are sometimes used as marketing of sorts, hinting at future titles or at least letting fans catch up with things as a series develops.
The Handsome Collection contains remastered versions of Borderlands 2 and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, and contains all the DLC for both of those titles.
The first game isn’t included in the set, but did recieve a patch earlier this week which re-enabled its online modes after they were shut down alongside the Gamespy service.
