Witcher 3 Delay Is A Good Thing

Many media outlets were given 3 hours of access to The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Almost all of them are saying that delaying the game till May is probably in the best interest for the title. The game is outstanding, and I have yet to see any outlet say anything bad about it. But the developers want to make sure it’s perfect, without bugs. And good on them. Although no one has yet mentioned any problems, I assume there are still a few kinks to work out.

If you’ve seen the 15 minutes of new footage that went live on Monday, then you already know that the game still looks fantastic. The voice acting is top notch, visuals are outstanding, and the combat seems clean and enjoyable. Without having played it, I feel like I can still say that The Witcher 3 might be a 2015 Game of the Year candidate.

I’m glad the developers are standing up and openly admitting their game isn’t finished, instead of releasing a broken product with promises of patches later. One can only wonder if the disastrous releases in November made them move the release date. While I’m disappointed I won’t be enjoying the Witcher in February, I’m more excited for this title now than I was a few months back.

Regardless, it will be worth the wait! We hope to get a review copy before launch, but if not, we will definitely be reviewing this title soon after release. You can also check our preview of the game here.

Full review is avaiable now also.
