Researchers are Teaching Mario to Think
There was a time when leaving Mario to fend for himself would end up in a nasty clash with a goomba, but thanks to the wonders of technology and artificial intelligence, researchers are teaching the plumber to play for himself.
By utilizing a variety of emotional states and learning options, Mario can not only experience the world around him but approach it in different ways. Perhaps he’ll learn how to kill a Goomba, or otherwise he may just want to explore and pick up coins.
