Foxland 2
Foxland 2 is a platformer staring a fox who has to save his kidnapped family. The game is out now for the Nintendo Switch. Is the game any good? Let’s take a look!
Foxland 2 doesn’t have a great story but its a platformer, what did you expect? The game does, however, have good gameplay.
At its core, Foxland 2 is a platformer, though it does have some exploration elements. There are some pretty cool hidden areas in this game. It does pay to look around when visiting each of Foxland 2’s levels. There is no timer during the levels, so that makes it easy to take your time. There’s no rush!
The platforming in Foxland 2 can be a bit tricky at times though. My biggest complaint is that the wall stick move, while handy sometimes, can throw you off other times. Its very easy to make a jump, miss, hit a wall, and then try to recover only to find yourself falling into a pit of spikes!
Foxland 2 starts out pretty easy but the platforming definitely gets more challenging. Thankfully its controls are simple and easy to learn. As for the levels themselves, they are very well designed.
Foxland 2 also has a really nice world map. Overall, this game has very good graphics. I really like its retro 2D look, though like a lot of retro games these days its a lot more detailed then games looked in the NES/SNES era.
If you’re looking for another fun 2D platformer that does have some challenge, then Foxland 2 is worth a look. Its not perfect, but its a great game anyway.
Foxland 2 gets a 8.0 out of 10.
