One Plus 13 Review – How Long Does it Last

Alright, we’ve been running through a number of features of the OnePlus 13 that we think matters to the average consumer, and I’m going to go out on a limb and say there is none bigger on that list than the battery life and how quickly this device charges. The more impressive the device – and yes, the OnePlus 13 is an impressive phone – the more it takes to keep it running, which could mean a disastrous battery life. Thankfully, our time with the phone seems to indicate that isn’t the case.

With a 6000mAh battery, the OnePlus 13 should last for a long time. To not be put down, however, OnePlus has opted for the latest (and greatest) silicon carbon chemistry. What does that mean to the average Joe? Probably nothing, but rest assured that is a good thing for battery longevity and charge-to-charge lifespan. While it doesn’t seem to charge as fast as my OnePlus 12 phone does, we had a full charge from 0% in about half an hour, give or take.

We put the phone through its paces as well, and although our ability to test battery life might not be as impressive as others, we used it like you would use it. Yes, you could theoretically watch YouTube for almost the entirety of your waking hours and not kill your phone. Impressive. You could play the latest games on it for well over 5 hours (I got tired and quit playing to be honest). You can surf the web all day long with ease, and be on the phone all day with ease. In a world where we charge our phones every night, you’ll NEVER have a problem with the OnePlus 13, outside of playing games for an entire day – it won’t do that.

With my regular use, though, I was able to squeeze almost two days out of the phone. Regular use for me is a few phone calls, a few dozen texts, an hour or so of web browsing, an hour or so of social media, and perhaps an hour or so playing Monopoly Go. Compared to the average phone user, my numbers are probably on the lower side, so take that as you will.

Honestly, at this point, I’ve never really had a problem with any phone battery life, except when gaming. I noticeably get more time playing games on this phone than on other phones I have used as of late, and that’s pretty impressive you play a lot of games. Outside of that, if you are a regular nightly phone charging kind of person, you’ll never have to worry with the OnePlus 13!
