Sea of Thieves: Fun, But for How Long?
Ever since RARE launched the Sea of Thieves Alpha a number of months ago, I have been jumping into the game and trying it out during each alpha session. It has been really fun watching the game evolve in front of my eyes, and concepts, themes, and execution of the pirate idea is very well done. With the official Beta launch - and more people sailing the seven seas - it was time to begin judging Sea of Thieves in a more critical light. How does this hold up? How much fun is it really? What is there to do without leveling and upgrading? The beta has handled a few of these questions, but unfortunately, not all of them. I've had a blast with Sea of Thieves so far, but will this enjoyment last long term? Let's dive in.
Image & Form and Zoink Join Forces under Thunderful Banner
Two of my favorite Swedish developers - Image & Form and Zoink Games - have combined together under the Thunderful banner. Between the two companies, they have 46 employees, 20 years of being in the industry, 16 games released, and 9 games in development. The studios behind indie hits Steamworld Digg and Stick It To The Man are working on new titles currently, most notably FE which is being published by Electronic Arts. This is only good news for the game industry, combining two of the best into one! Check out the release below!

Xbox Game Pass Subscriber? Get New Releases Free
Xbox dropped a major bombshell today, announcing that those who are subscribed to Xbox Game Pass will get new release titles 'free' on day one. So, if you are a subscriber, you can play Crackdown 3 on launch day, etc. For a long time, gamers have discussed the idea of 'renting' games from companies for a long time. Xbox Live and PS+ do this in a way, allowing you to keep playing the free monthly titles as long as you are a subscriber, but this is taking it to a different level. Free games each month are never new releases; this will be.

According to a post on the Sea of Thieves website, players in the next BETA will be able to travel between the Xbox One and the PC, picking up right from where they left off. Three Things Assassin’s Creed Origins Doesn’t Need…But Would Be Cool
Assassin's Creed Origins is easily one of the best games released in 2017, and it has even taken my top spot amongst Assassin's Creed titles since the original, topping my previous all-time favorite, Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag. From start to finish, exploring Ancient Egypt and removing its citizens from the grasp of a tyrannical leader was an amazing experience. With so much to do, there really was never a dull moment. Quests were varied, and the chance at rare and legendary loot made me explore every nook the game had to offer. When we look back at past Assassin's Creed experiences, however, there were some game play elements that were never added to Origins. We decided to look at 3 changes Assassin's Creed Origins could have made, despite not needing to!
