Uncharted Multiplayer DLC Will be Free says Naughty Dog
Thank God for companies like Naughty Dog and CD Projekt Red. Without their dedication to the actual consumer, we may have never seen free DLC during this current generation. Uncharted 4 developer Naughty Dog announced recently that all multiplayer DLC maps and add-ons will be free, forever.
King’s Quest Chapter 3: Once Upon a Climb Review
A return of King's Quest on modern consoles had me giddy since day one, and Chapter 1 of this series really got things started off on the right foot. While I enjoyed Chapter 2, the constant crisscrossing of the dungeon, coupled with the lack of direction and the trail-and-error approach to puzzles put a bit of a damper on my experience. Was Chapter 3: Once Upon A Climb going to mirror the great, nostalgic tone that made Chapter 1 so great, or was it going to continue the slog that was Chapter 2? Fortunately, it was actually neither. Chapter 3 of the latest King's Quest adventure takes the best parts of Chapter 1 and 2, and fixes a number of issues most mainstream media outlets have found with the game - pacing.
Uncharted 4 Shipment Stolen
Uncharted 4 is going to be wildly popular, there is no doubt about it. In fact, I know individuals who purchased a Playstation 4 for the sole purpose of playing the latest Uncharted title. Unfortunately, new leaked yesterday that the street date of May 10th had been broken; this story was later clarified to note that a shipment had been stolen, as opposed to someone at retail making a gross mistake.
Hitman: Episode 2
You if look back on our original Hitman Prologue and Episode 1 review, you will find a constant theme. This game has a huge wow factor that not many games pull off. Hitman, at least this time around - previous games in the franchise pale in comparison - has done a brilliant job of combining stealth, strategy, and assassination.
More Thoughts From Me #16: A Whole Lot of Disney
I’m a Disney fan. I won’t claim that I like everything Disney does, but I like a bunch of what they do. And one of my favorite things they did was with Square Enix. I’m talking about Kingdom Hearts of course. Specifically I’m talking about Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2. If you ever want to play a love letter to Disney fans, Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2 are for you! Lets take a trip down Disney memory lane. There is…
Alienation Launches April 26 on PS4
Alienation from Finnish developer Housemarque will land on PS4 tomorrow, April 26th. Alienation is about, well, Aliens attempting to wipe out humanity. Players can team up with up to three others online and attempt to take back their world, destroying the Xenos hordes as they go.
Uncharted 4: Plunder Mode from #PAXEast
Plunder mode is making a return to the Uncharted series and those who attended (will be attending) #PAXEast this weekend will get to be the first to play it. Many Uncharted fans will remember it from Uncharted 2 and 3, and should be fairly excited about its announcement in Uncharted 4. From what I hear, it's actually a pretty awesome game mode, so I'm really looking forward to trying it out when Uncharted 4 hits in May.
Ark: Survival Of The Fittest Rides Exclusively Onto Playstation®4 This Summer
If you have had the pleasure of playing ARK: Survival Evolved, then you understand how much fun the PvP and PvE dinosaur taming title can be. Whether you are playing to take down other tribes, or just trying to survive against the elements, there is so much to love. Despite ARK originally launching first on Xbox One, a whole new experience will be coming to the PS4, and it sounds as if it will be exclusive.
Rocket League Hoops!
If you've played Rocket League you know how much fun, and how popular, it is. It's a really simple concept, but the execution is fantastic. Whether you are playing online, coop on the couch, or all alone, it is so easy to lose yourself in multiple matches. Psyonix is taking things a bit further later this month with the launch of a basektball version of Rocket League, and we cannot wait for it!
Reimagining versus HD Port: What Ratchet and Clank Does Right
Bringing back games from the past has become increasingly popular with all three big video game console companies, and who could really blame them. Throw on a few HD visuals, tweak a few things, and rerelease your title to consumers at nearly the same price as a new release. Don't get me wrong, I think most companies and developers put in a fair amount of work when creating these HD ports, but no one has done it better than Insomniac, and their latest reimagining, Ratchet and Clank.
