Film producer gets trolled by Super Meat Boy creators
Edmund McMillen and Tommy Refenes, also known as Team Meat, creators of the indie game Super Meat Boy, were contacted by a Film Producer looking to make a movie based on the 2010 platformer. They recorded the conversation and uploaded it for our viewing pleasure.
Trials Evolution Broken for Some Nvidia Users, No Fix Announced
If you're a Trials fan who has yet to buy the rather excellent Trials Evolution, and if you're sporting a Nvidia graphics cards, you might want to hold off for a little while longer. The latest graphics drivers don't much like the motorbike-based bone breaking sim, with plenty of people claiming they can't even boot it up.

Planetside 2 Coming to Retail
Koch Media have announced that they're bringing Planetside 2 to retail. The free-to-play PC game will be available at stores for £7.99 from August 8th, and will come with a series of in-game items valued at over £40. The digital version of the game will, of course, stay free-to-play.
Final Fantasy VII Speed Runner narrowly missed out on World Record
A Final Fantasy VII speed runner this morning missed out on the world record by only a few minutes. After a few random attacks cost him minutes during his run, he finally died in one of the final boss battles and he was forced to give up. It had taken him only a little over seven and a half hours to get there.

Deadly Premonition Coming to PC
Deadly Premonition is coming to PC. Offering a heady mix of terrible controls and gameplay, silly scripting but deep characterisation, Deadly Premonition is the very definition of a community-splitting game. It'll be the director's cut as well, so there's the new scenario, "enhanced" graphics (which bring it up to PS2 standards) and the reworked control scheme (which still sucks).

Knights of the Old Republic was one of the first games to successfully capture the Star Wars vibe, but it also made a genre accessible to a whole new group of people and made possible games like Mass Effect, Dragon Age and even the modern Fallout games.
Sales Numbers Higher than Ever on Steam says Indie Devs
Mike Bithell, creator of Thomas Was Alone tweeted some interesting insights into the sales figures of Steam content during the summer sale. It seems sales might be going through the roof.
