Next Xbox Will Almost Certainly be Always-On
After months of rumours about the next-gen Xbox needing an always-on connection, the speculations came to a crescendo last night as the Microsoft Studios creative director, Adam Orth, took to Twitter defending an always-on console. It might just be a hypothetical thing, of course, but for all intents and purposes, he's just confirmed always-on in the minds of millions of people. Orth's Twitter account is now, understandably, set to private.
Kings & Warlords – Producer Interview
Kings & Warlords is a popular MMORTS game with tens of thousands of fans and many dedicated players. It's a genre that has grown in recent years, thanks in part to games like Farmville acting as a gateway to other, more fantasy-driven casual experiences. Today it's the genre of choice for film tie-ins - both The Godfather and The Hobbit have seen MMORTS games based upon them - and its popularity doesn't seem to be waning. We were lucky enough to be able to speak with the producer of Kings & Warlords, Miika Tams, about how developer Digital Chocolate differentiates themselves from the crowd, about conversing with their fans and those who are unsure of the free-to-play market, and the future of their game.

More characters, more modes and a return of the what-if? scenarios that were sure a big part of the earlier Xtreme Legends packs are sure to make this a must-play for fans. Since Dynasty Warriors 4, fans have often been a little hesitant with the positive numbered games, so it's nice to see Koei seem to be bucking that trend.
