Atlus Teaser Site Might Reveal Persona 5
According to a post on Reddit, an Atlus teaser site slipped up and revealed Persona 5 early. The site is supposed to go live on November 24, but apparently displayed the image shown above for around a minute. If this turns out to be true, then it looks like MegaTen fans will be very happy when Persona 5 is released for the Playstation 3 next year.
The Problem with Hype
Think of the last E3, or the last Gamescom, or the last Tokyo Game Show. What was the main thing shown at the press conferences held there? The trailers, gameplay videos, and everything else shown are done so to get you excited about a certain game that they want you to be more interested in. If the trailer is well-done and people like it, the hype of the game goes up and people talk about it more and more. But what happens next? More trailers and details for the game are released, just hyping you up more until the game comes out. But sometimes, when the game comes out, it’s not everything you expected. It’s not as fantastic as you had hoped. It’s not all that it’s hyped up to be.
Ubisoft Drops Uplay Service For Good
Due to backlash from gamers, Ubisoft has decided to drop their controversial Uplay service. The most recent outcry about Ubisoft's version of an online pass is over the Edward's Fleet game mode in Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag. In order to access the feature, gamers had to enter in the code that came with their new copy of the game, or pay a fee. However, because of the inability for some users to be able to play Edward's Fleet, Ubisoft is now offering it for free. Here's more from their official blog post:
Nintendo Pulls 3DS SwapNote Due To “Offensive” Material
Nintendo has pulled the SwapNote application from the 3DS due to users sending “offensive material.” The free app allowed people to send notes and photos to one another online, and apparently some of those using the program were being a little too naughty for Nintendo’s liking. Because of this, now SwapNote is no longer available worldwide, and it doesn’t seem likely that it will ever come back. All users have been notified of this removal via a message that pops…

Media Servers Not Supported on PlayStation 4
While perhaps not as annoying as the news that PlayStation 4 users won't be able to play MP3s, the fact that media servers will no longer be supported is going to be far more annoying (albeit to a smaller group of people). Watching a film or listening to music stored on your PC but played via your console was a great feature on PS3, and one that would have come in handy going forward.
Battlefield 4 Online has “A Secret” – Is It Dinosaurs?
During a live stream of Battlefield 4, a developer said that there’s a secret in the game’s multiplayer that, when triggered, will apparently make everybody in the server say “what the fuck?” So far, very few people know about it. Could it be the long-awaited appearance of Dinosaurs, or is this something far more out there? Nothing else was said about the secret, nor were any clues given towards solving the mystery. Of course, considering the popularity of a potential…

The PlayStation 4 can't play MP3 files and doesn't have a music visualizer feature, Sony have today revealed. Instead, if you want to play music on your PS4, or if you want to use custom music while playing your games, you'll need a subscription to Music Unlimited.

The free-to-play Command & Conquer game that was under development has been canceled by Electronic Arts. The developer behind this new game, which had been in its alpha testing phase, posted the announcement earlier on their website. Here’s a snippet: Thank you for your participation over the last few months in the Command & Conquer closed alpha test. It’s been much appreciated, and you’ve been instrumental in helping define what a new Command & Conquer experience should and shouldn’t be.…
