Next-Gen Dark Soul II Not Ruled Out
Dark Souls II is gearing up to be a great game for core gamers, and hopefully it'll manage to be just as tough as its predecessors. Here's the problem: a lot of core gamers have moved onto next-gen consoles and would probably quite like the bulk of their hobby to happen from the PlayStation 4 or Xbox One. Dark Souls II is only coming to Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. But hope is not yet lost.
Tetris Dropping on PS4 and Xbox One
You've got your nice shiny next-gen console, you've got a HDTV and your state of the art smartphone for second screen play. There's only one thing missing really, isn't there? Tetris. Because as easy as it would be to joke about the classic game coming to the latest gaming machines, actually, there's not a down side.
The Last of Us DLC Releases Valentine’s Day
Worried that Valentine's Day just wasn't going to be special enough? Forget the notion: Naughty Dog have announced that their first piece of story-based DLC for their 2013 blockbuster The Last of Us will be released on February 14th. Apologise to your significant others, it seems that candlelit dinner for two will have to be postponed.
Diablo 3 Coming to Xbox One?
Diablo 3 recently made the jump to PlayStation 3 and will soon be available on PlayStation 4 as well. Xbox One users have, so far, gone completely without, but that hasn't stopped them getting their hopes up after a couple of retailers have listed a re-release for Microsoft's latest machine. Could it be that Sony only paid for timed exclusivity and that Xbox One owners will get Diablo 3 in time as well?
Valve hopes to include Film, TV and Music in First Public SteamOS
SteamOS is an operating system built with one thing in mind: Valve wants it to be the centre of your gaming universe. Forget all the things that make gaming on PC a hassle for those not used to it. Simply turn on your Steam machine, pick the game you want to play and get into it. The one current fault of SteamOS is that it's too gaming focussed, but that's something Valve hope to change before it's out of beta.
New Dark Souls II Trailer Released
It's fair to say that news surrounding From Software's upcoming epic, dark fantasy action role-playing game, Dark Souls II, has been rather slow as of late, but it seems today is our lucky day. From Software have released a brand new trailer showcasing never before seen bosses, and providing an English dubbed voice over that offers hints in regards to the new world's plot and lore.
Valve Clarify Refund Policy for Cancelled Early Access Games
Playing an Early Access game on Steam when suddenly the developer goes quiet? You've paid your money and been given a buggy mess in return, on the promise that some day it'll be a fully-fledged game with actual polish? Tough beans, if the game's developers bail out when development is part through, you're stuck with your purchase, Valve has said.
The Wolf Among Us Episode 2 Coming Early February
It was the surprise fantasy detective story of 2013, but unfortunately Telltale's The Wolf Among Us disappeared of a lot of radars when the developer announced episode two wouldn't be available until 2014. Now, with the first episode of season two of The Walking Dead out of the way, Telltale have announced a more specific release date: the first week of February.
Fans Petition to bring Kingdom Hearts 1.5 to Xbox 360
It's no secret that there were some Xbox 360-only owners desperate to play the Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD Remix collection that was released last year but, alas, their call for a port went ignored. There's a million reasons it might not have happened, but that hasn't stopped one plucky fan from starting a petition to change things, and it's a petition that's begun to pick up speed.
DayZ Sold One Million in a Month
It might not be taking on the likes of Grand Theft Auto, but the standalone edition of DayZ is doing incredibly well. In only a single month it has managed to sell a million copies on Steam, something that's incredibly impressive by almost any standard. It's doing even better when you realize it's currently part of Steam's Early Access initiative and it's not even properly released yet (or, rather, not in a fully stable state).
