Miyamoto Sounds off on Zelda Wii U, Poor Sales, Star Fox

This past week, the Toronto Sun newspaper was able to sit down for a 45 minute with Nintnedo's own Miyamoto and Bill Trinen. Although I wasn't expecting much from the interview - since E3 had just wrapped up, and everything should have been talked about there - I was surprised by the information that Miyamoto did share. He spoke out about the new Zelda title, poor Wii U sales, and Star Fox.

Newegg Publish Page for World of Warcraft on Xbox

World of Warcraft has "always" been coming to consoles. Since the early days of the 360, somebody knew somebody who knew somebody who had an anonymous source that claimed Blizzard were hard at work on bringing the game to console. This time is slightly different, in that retailer Newegg has published a page with a unique serial number offering Xbox Live gametime for World of Warcraft: Warlords of Draenor.

Star Wars: Battlefront Delayed?

Isn’t it always great when a game with no release date ends up being delayed? It basically boils down to something that could have been available at any time suddenly being released at a different, more distant time. It doesn’t mean anything in real terms, but sounds awful to the fans who’re desperate to check it out. This seems to have happened with DICE and Star Wars: Battlefront.  Battlefront was always going to release in 2015 – right alongside Star…

Nintendo HD Part 1 – A Return to Rare

Giving games the HD treatment is not a new concept. In fact, companies have been doing it for years, and will likely continue for the foreseeable future. Not only is it an importunity for developers to make more money, but it is also an oppertunity for fans to relive some of the best games that are, more than likely, unavailable for them presently. For myself, I have pushed through remakes of Banjo-Kazooie (N64) on the Xbox 360, Monkey Island (PC) on my iPad, and most recently, The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker (Gamecube) on my Wii U. All these titles have been worth playing a second time, and many more sit around waiting for their own HD treatment. Because of a struggling Wii U, Nintendo is the most likely of the big three to go this route.

PS4 Remote Now Works Wirelessly on PS3

The Dualshock 4 is one of the most comfortable controllers going, which is why a fair few people were excited to find out that you were able to play PS3 games with it. Aside from a few titles, such as Grand Theft Auto V and Sly Cooper 4, almost every PS3 game supports it fully out of the box. There's only one downside: you had to have the remote plugged in via USB. That has now changed.

Mario Kart 8 Saved Iwata at Nintendo?

Mario Kart 8 has now pushed passed the 2 million units sold mark. The first weekend sales topped 1.2 million, which means the title has sold more then 800,000 units in June; for Nintendo and their small Wii U install base, this is good news. Mario Kart is a pinnacle franchise for the company, and like Super Smash Bros later this year, it needed to be a huge success.
