Sony Insider goes silent, was getting too much Attention

A verified Sony insider who debunked the fake UI images released this weekend has had to delete his Reddit account after getting too much attention. The user was open about the problems Sony face, as well as the reason certain features had to be delayed, and the off-the-record style of talking about issues was a welcome breath of fresh air compared to the PR speak of the actual community managers. IWorkForSony has been behind a variety of news stories in…

Godus Scores big on iTunes despite mixed reaction Online

If you read reactions to Peter Molyneux's latest game online, you'd probably try to steer clear. General reaction to Godus has been vaguely negative, attacking Molyneux's promises (for a change), as well as the slow pressure to buy in-app purchases. Apparently that's exactly what iOS users were hungry for, however, as the game currently has 1500 ratings and four and a half stars on the app store.

Metro Developers Explain why Redux isn’t a free Upgrade

Metro 2033 and Metro: Last Light are being re-released on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC later this year, and while owners of the original titles on Steam are getting a 50% discount on the upgrade, some members of Valve's community are angry that they're not going to get the improved versions for absolutely nothing. The developers, 4A Games, have taken some time to explain just why that is, and it goes far beyond the "don't be greedy" that it could have been.

Is Half Minute Hero 2 Coming to Vita?

A rather hint-laden Twitter conversation involving Sony's Shahid Kamal Ahmad seems to hint at the release of Half Minute Hero 2 on Vita. Is it too obvious a connection to make, or have they just been a little careless in their inferring?

Hyrule Warriors Nintendo Direct

Last night was Nintendo's direct focused specifically on Hyrule Warriors. Last week, I wrote about my hands on time with Hyrule Warriors. One of the things I heard from many people was that this game was bound to be boring. Well, after this direct, that has to change for almost everyone.

Footage of Lost Akira Game Surfaces

Akira, the classic well-loved animated action film from Katsuhiro Otomo, had a couple of video game adaptations back in the day, but nothing especially interesting. THQ had been working on a pretty major one - a platformer very much in the vein of "adult platformers" of the time - but it eventually got cancelled. Now, twenty years later, footage has surfaced of just what the title might have looked like.

Are Nintendo Directs Beneficial?

I've always been a firm believer that when Nintendo releases one of their Nintendo Directs, the content is interesting, and generally, will sell me on one of their products. However, I heard an alternate opinion today that made me rethink these videos. Is there such thing as too much information when it comes to Nintendo Directs?
