E3 2018 – Xbox Media Conference – Microsoft Acquires New Studios
While Microsoft was announcing a ton of new titles coming to Xbox One - and a number of which are console launch exclusives! - there was a bigger announcement at the event: the acquisition of 5 new studios. Lets look at each of these studios briefly!

E3 2018: EA Play Conference
The EA conference at E3 2018 was fairly underwhelming, and wasn't the way I hoped E3 would kick off. We got to see a few things - obviously the upcoming EA Sports titles, a first good look at Anthem, and the biggest surprise, the fact that not only was Unravel 2 in production, but that it was also releasing that day (June 9). While the Unravel announcement was exciting, and Anthem looked good, most of what was shown off was predictable yearly releases, and a few indie titles.

TCL Communications Announces the BlackBerry KEY2
The most advanced BlackBerry phone ever was unveiled today by BlackBerry production partner TCL Communications during a launch event in New York City. The phone will be much more powerful than the previous BlackBerry releases, and will maintain the physical keyboard and exceptional security that the brand is known for. The device will retail for about $829 CAN ($649 USD) and will be shipping later this month.
New Mario Tennis Aces Trailer Details New Gameplay Mechanic

Hyrule Warriors Definitive Edition Is What Nintendo Should Do More Of
I've just finally finished getting through Hyrule Warriors Definitive Edition on the Nintendo Switch, and although it has been the third time I've played it - first on the Nintendo WiiU and later on the Nintendo 3DS - I once again had a really great time. With each subsequent release of the game, more DLC from previous iterations have been added, giving this last release the appropriate title of "definitive edition." This third time through, however, I quickly realized I wasn't necessarily thinking about he game itself, but rather how Nintendo should be doing more of this in the future. Let's dive into that further.

Legend of Kay Anniversary Edition – Nintendo Switch

Dark Souls Remastered
The original Dark Souls is still one of the best games in the franchise, and it was no shock that Bandai Namco planned to remaster the title for the Xbox One and PS4, and later for the Nintendo Switch. The key word in this whole process is remastered, which means this isn't simply just a rerelease, or is it a definitive version with loads of DLC. Instead, this game has been rebuilt (in part) from the ground up to appeal to modern console owners. Does it hit the mark so many years later? We think so.
