Sega Announced Mega Drive 2 During Sega Project Live Stream
During the live stream for Sega, a new console was revealed. The Mega Drive Mini 2 will include 50 Mega Drive and Mega CD titles, including arcade ports and what Sega describes as a mysterious new work.
Here are the list of games so far that are confirmed that will be launched when the console gets released in Japan on October 27th:
- Silpheed
- Fantasy Zone
- Shining Force CD
- Bonanza Bros
- Mansion of Hidden Souls
- Popful Mail
- Virtua Racing
- Sonic CD
- Shining in the Darkness
- Magical Taruruto
- Thunder Force IV

The first Mega Drive Mini was released in 2019 and included 42 games, with libraries differing per region. The Mega Drive Mini 2 will be released on October 27 in Japan and will cost ¥9,980 which is roughly about $75 USD.
