Carpathian Night Starring Bela Lugosi Review
Do you like Castlevania? If so, then you may be interested in Carpathian Night Starring Bela Lugosi! Here’s our review.
Carpathian Night Starring Bela Lugosi is a 2D sidescrolling game in the vain of Castlevania. The story is about two a warrior monk and a vampire who decide to go up against Dracula. You can play as the monk or the vampire. The story is presented by text at the beginning of the game and lore that you find throughout the levels fleshed out the world.
The story is not too bad and having “Bela Lugosi” back as Dracula is neat. Of course, the gameplay is what Carpathian Night is all about.
In Carpathian Night, you control either the monk or the vampire. The gameplay is a 2D sidescroller, with occasional branching paths. Enemies will attack you and there are some hidden things to find each level. It is a lot like a Castlevania game. It feels more like the SNES games, but there is a bit of the later DS games in its blood too. The game doesn’t offer anything unique but it is really fun, especially if you’re a fan of the Castlevania franchise.
The controls are very easy to learn and some of the enemies can be tricky but its never too hard and the game is very forgiving when you die.
Overall Carpathian Night is a lot of fun and if you love Castlevania, you’ll definitely want to check this game out. The graphics will even remind you of that popular franchise.
The graphics in Carpathian Night look a lot a Gameboy Advance Castlevania game. Everything from the characters to the backgrounds are feel familiar. Its all really well done. The music is pretty good too.
Carpathian Night Starring Bela Lugosi is a lot of fun. While the game doesn’t offer anything unique gameplay or graphics wise, its something that fans of Castlevania will love. If you need a new Castlevania-like to play, then Carpathian Night will be a must download.
