Although the names haven’t been named, Xbox boss Phil Spencer confirmed that it will not be Starfield or Indiana Jones. It came during an official podcast, labelled a “business update” and promising to explore the future of Xbox. Thousands of people watched the video, which launched at 8pm this evening.…

Xbox’s Future Rests On a Thursday Evening Podcast
As odd as it might seem, we’ll learn about the future of Xbox through a podcast on Thursday evening. That’s how these things are done now. Gone are the days of corporate press releases and obviously carefully edited talking head videos, replaced with a less obviously stage managed video roundtable. And this isn’t a bad thing. It means we’re going to get the words directly from the horse’s mouth. And those words had better be near perfect. For those not…

Read MoreMicrosoft: How Not To Handle a Crisis
It’s been fascinating to watch the fallout from the Xbox third party rumours this week. But what’s been more fascinating is Microsoft’s complete lack of response to them. The gaming community has hit fever pitch. If I wrote an article about how the next Xbox was going to charge you per hour of gaming time, it’d get picked up and shared by people desperate for any bit of negative news. It would be treated as fact. For context, this is…

New Eden. 1695. There’s a curse and ghosts are everywhere. Banishers are out and about trying to figure out whats going on and getting rid of the ghosts too. Welcome to Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden. Read MorePersona 3 Reload First Impressions
Persona 3 Reload came out on Friday and I’ve been playing it over the weekend. Here are my first impressions of the game. Persona 3 Reload is fantastic so far. The story is pretty intriguing: there is a mysterious hour called The Dark Hour that starts at midnight. During that time, most people turn into coffins and monsters roam the land. Also a tower pops up where normally there’s a school. A group called S.E.E.S. combats the monsters and wants…
Read MoreBaffling Xbox First Party Shift is a Ridiculous Gambit
Xbox look set to release all of their games onto PlayStation and Nintendo consoles, and in the very near future. And despite a large amount of theorising, that’s about all we know. But that is bad enough. This is very much a breaking news story, and I held off writing anything in the hopes that Microsoft were sensible enough to put out an official statement overnight. But it hasn’t happened. A variety of leakers and insiders have confirmed separately that…

I’m looking forward to Persona 3 Reload a lot. I’ve never played the game before. I’m pretty new to the Persona franchise. I had played a little bit of Persona 5 Royal but not too much. And then when it came to the…
Read MoreMore Thoughts From Me: The Time of Remakes
I’ve been playing Resident Evil 2 remake on gamepass and its for the first time. I’m enjoying it but it did lead me to a thought. I thought to myself, “Self, there are a lot of remakes happening right now.” Sure there always are but right now seems like a big time for them. Let’s talk about why and how thats a good and a bad thing. That zombie was trying to eat my face off, he deserved that shotgun…
