The Xbox Adaptive Controller will be landing in homes across the country in September, and today Microsoft unveiled just a bit more of what people can expect when they open up their controller for the first time. First though, let's take a look at the journey.

No Man's Sky is launching today on Xbox One - Friday in Europe - alongside the latest expansions, NEXT. With this update, the developers behind this troubled title are looking to right the ship, and provide an experience players thought they were getting when the game originally launched on the PS4 a few years ago. With promises of great things - and some good early impressions from those who have had the opportunity to see it, No Man's Sky has a new lease on life, and we are really excited to try it out.

If you haven't played Shadow of War, the fantastic Lord of the Rings franchise sequel title to Shadow of Mordor, you are really missing out on a fantastic experience. When we reviewed the game on the Xbox One X earlier this year - which we really loved! - we commented on the vast number of improvements over the original release, including a better stealth system, and a overhauled Nemesis system. One of the better addition to the Far Cry formula with the launch of Far Cry 5 was the host of additional characters within the game that you genuinely cared about. So often I felt myself wanting to know more about a specific person, their back story, and how they ended up in Hope County. And thankfully, through DLC, Ubisoft has allowed us to get some perspective on these other characters.

Jurassic World has just launched in theatres, and the game based on the franchise has just launched on console. Jurassic World Evolutions is the Rollercoaster Tycoon of dinosaur games, allowing players to build structures, create dinosaurs, and establish a park that will make them a tidy profit. While these types of games always work great on PC, the transfer over to the Xbox One or PS4 is never as smooth.

Only a few times in any generation of consoles do we get a title like Yoku's Island Express, a game full of charm, but coupled with fantastic unique gameplay that makes you realize you are playing something truly special. One part Metroidvania and one part pinball, Yoku's Island Express balances both ideas perfectly. Team 17 has created and published something truly special, and they deserve a ton of praise for it!
