Vanishing of Ethan Carter Review Xbox One Update

At the very start of The Vanishing of Ethan Carter, a message sprawls across the screen informing the player that this game does not hold your hand and that through atmospheric exploration you will discover the truth. With nearly open world investigation and a subtle storyline that does not force the player into doing things in any particular order, you are able to fully enjoy the experience of the world created. A beautiful game at heart, it was ...

Three Things Assassin’s Creed Origins Doesn’t Need…But Would Be Cool

Assassin's Creed Origins is easily one of the best games released in 2017, and it has even taken my top spot amongst Assassin's Creed titles since the original, topping my previous all-time favorite, Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag. From start to finish, exploring Ancient Egypt and removing its citizens from the grasp of a tyrannical leader was an amazing experience. With so much to do, there really was never a dull moment. Quests were varied, and the chance at rare and legendary loot made me explore every nook the game had to offer. When we look back at ...

Xbox Kinect Officially Dead

Despite stopping production on the Xbox One Kinect in November, Microsoft was still pumping out the adapters necessary to play the Kinect on the Xbox One S and the Xbox One X. Well, they were at least, until this week when it was announced that they have also ceased production on that item as well, officially killing the Kinect. This should come at no surprise as many wondered why the Kinect made the generational jump from the Xbox 360 to the Xbox One in the first place. Regardless, it really is a good feeling knowing this aspect of Microsoft's home console ...

Sony, Nintendo, Microsoft Consumer Report – From Least Concerned to Most in 2018

When the clock ticks past 11:59 PM on New Years Eve and everyone celebrates a new year, its hard not to reflect on the past year, and what’s to come, whether in our personal lives, professional lives, or even our gaming lives. Nintendo easily won 2017, despite Sony having a really good showing, and although Microsoft launched a new console this year, it seems to have already sold the bulk of its units to early adopters, as sales have drastically trickled off. But what does 2018 have in store? Can Nintendo maintain - let alone build on - the successes of 2018? ...
