There’s Already too much DLC at E3

With one press conference down, and a few more to go, it appears as if downloadable content is going to once again be a big thing at E3 2014. DLC comes with its own praises and criticisms, but in general, it is a idea that has worked out for both developers and gamers. Developers can extend the life of their titles while also gaining more revenue, while players get more content for the games they love. There are a few issues that have always, and will always, surround DLC.

EA Officially Announced Battlefield Hardline

Today Battlefield Hardline showed up at E3. I’ve not been a huge fan of the franchise, but this game immediately caught my attention. Hardline combines the gameplay of Battlefield with the well-known ‘catch me if you can’ game mode. The result seems to be a fast paced shooter with many decisions which can influence the outcome.

Sunset Overdrive Shown, Release date announced

Insomniac and Sunset Overdrive splashed their way into the Microsoft E3 2014 press conference big time, showing off lush, candy colored visuals, insane weapons, a tongue-and-cheek sense of humor the tongue and cheek humor that made us all fall in love with the Ratchet and Clank series.

Microsoft Announced The Master Chief Collection for Xbox One

Perhaps the biggest news out of the Microsoft conference - and the piece of software that'll keep gamer's warm for Christmas and beyond - has to be the announcement of the Halo: The Master Chief Collection. This fantastic set puts together all four of the main Halo titles into one large set, bringing together all of the story, all of the multiplayer and a few extra bonuses as well.

Mortal Kombat X Announced

Warner Brothers have today announced the next entry in the Mortal Kombat series. Mortal Kombat X is the long-awaited follow-up to the semi-reboot Mortal Kombat 9, which was really a a remake of sorts of the first three titles in the franchise. Where will they go next? Thankfully, we won't have to wait long to find out, with details due to come out during E3.

Warrior Orochi 3 Ultimate Coming soon to Ps4 and XBOX One

Tecmo Koei Europe announced today that the latest in the Warriors Orochi series is currently in development. Warriors Orochi 3 Ultimate is coming to PS3, PS4, PSVita and the Xbox One and contains the full Warriors Orochi 3, as well as new stories and features. It is the first in the series to be released on the flagship PS4 and Xbox One systems.

Microsoft Announce Halo 5: Guardians

I suppose you think Halo 5 was already announced and official, right? Well, technically it was. Microsoft confirmed that it existed and that there would one day be a Halo game taking advantage of Xbox One features - as if there was ever any doubt - but today they reconfirmed it by announcing it all over again. Halo 5: Guardians will be developed by 343 Industries and will be available for purchase in Fall 2015.
