Nintendo has been doing an excellent job providing updates for their most popular games. Outside of a few pricey additions to Super Smash Bros, they have done a better job than Sony or Microsoft in providing new game play for their fans at fair prices. Like Mario Kart 8 and Super Smash Bros, Nintendo has been updating Splatoon with lots of new content.

Legend of Kay Anniversary Review
Legend of Kay originally came out in 2005, and was reviewed fairly well considering it was a platformer title exclusive to the platform heavy Playstation 2. I never owned a PS2 until well after the launch of the PS3, but even then, I had never played Legend of Kay.

Assassin's Creed is undoubtedly one of the larger franchises in current video games, and can boast being one of the best AND one of the worst franchises to date. Most people were on board for Assassin's Creed when it first launched, and many praised it for the unique gameplay. Collecting flags - at least at that point - was a minor annoyance at best. The rising price of AAA video games at Canadian retail locations is making me wonder something: how long can consumers continue to pay the high price of games? Best Buy Canada and Amazon Canada have been offering a bunch of pre-order incentives for games announced at E3 2015. With a 13% sales tax in Ontario, that means a brand new AAA tilte at full cost could set back consumers 90.00, or roughly 1/5 the price of an Xbox One or PS4.

Like last year, Nintendo opted to air a 45 minute digital event rather than hold a traditional press conference. To their credit, their use of Muppet-like dolls actually made me chuckle a little bit, and had my son rolling on the flour with laughter. It was a bit odd, but I guess it worked.
