Although Final Fantasy X-2 doesn't quite manage to live up to the original in terms of fan nostalgia, I can't imagine anyone felt the Final Fantasy X re-release was complete without having its sequel available as well. For many who experienced the story of Tidus, Yuna, Auron and company for the first time in the last few years, getting hold of a copy of X-2 might not have been easy (or, arguably, even worth it).

Soul Sacrifice Review
Legendary designer Keiji Inafune has dabbled in macabre video games before. He's most well known for co-creating Mega Man, but he also has Resident Evil, Onimusha and Dead Rising production credits under his belt. Since leaving Capcom, he's decided to dive back into darkly atmospheric game design with his latest project, Soul Sacrifice.

There seems to be quite a comment dislike of touch screen gaming. Whether it's justified or not, or how experienced those that repeat the tired old complaints are with the input method, I'm not sure, but even the most die hard detractors must realize their are exceptions to the anti-touch rule. Draw Slasher might be one of those exceptions, for while it's not perfect, it manages to entertain and challenge without ever feeling uncomfortable or annoying.
Read MorePSA: Guilty Gear Trailer Lied, Title DOESN’T Have Online Play
This is a strange one. Guilty Gear for the Vita came out in the US yesterday, and despite mention on its PlayStation page of online play, as well as reference to it in the original trailer, the game actually relies on Ad Hoc mode to handle its multiplayer. Why the developers put out a trailer implying otherwise, and why Sony are advertising it as online-capable is unclear, but if you were planning to buy based on the idea of playing…

There aren't a great many titles on the Vita that feel specific to that platform. Uncharted: Golden Abyss is a decent game that manages to shrink the Uncharted world into a portable package, but those with access to the PS3 trilogy would likely prefer to play those. Gravity Rush is not only exclusive to Vita, but it's entire gameplay structure feels custom made for the device, from the beautiful graphics to the unique gameplay.

If you're a fan of indie RPGs, you may just need to hold onto your hat. All-Stars will contain remakes of Cthulhu Saves the World and of Breath of Death VII (to put them on par with Precipice), as well as rebalancing and new features. More than that, the collection will have sequels to both games, Breath of Death XIII-2 and Cthulhu Saves the Galaxy.

Draw Slasher, a touch screen platformer from the people who made Run Like Hell for iOS, is releasing on PlayStation Vita next week. It'll publish on the PlayStation Store on Tuesday in the US and on Wednesday for EU territories (including Australia). It'll be available for $6 or 5 euros and is a sequel to 2011's Draw Slasher: The Quest. Although the gameplay remains similar to its predecessor, things have been made bigger for Vita, with the inclusion of several new modes.

Uncharted: Golden Abyss was the first game shown on the Vita, and with good reason. The graphics are excellent - not a million miles away from what we've come to expect from the PS3 entries in the series - and the gameplay just seems to scream "look, the Vita can do it as well." All of the attitude, humour and gameplay favourites return from the home console iterations of the franchise, so all in all, Golden Abyss should be at least as good as the original Drake's Fortune.

European players have the chance to try Soul Sacrifice today, with a demo released for Vita. U.S. players had access to this same demo yesterday and discovered the ability to keep your save, which can then be used in the full game. This transfer will also reward early supporters with a bonus item called Spirit's Heart, to invoke a stone golem. The demo gives the ability to browse the first chapter of the adventure in its entirety. It even allows you to play with up to three others either locally or online. To keep you sated until then , have a look at some ...
