Ubisoft released a number of fantastic games in 2018, and any one of them would make a fantastic gift under the tree for that special someone in your life...may be yourself! It's not often a single studio can have multiple home run hits in a year, but somehow Ubisoft managed with Assassin's Creed Odyssey, Far Cry 5, The Crew 2, and their newest IP, Starlink: Battle for Atlas. We had the opportunity to review and play them all this year, and it was fantastic! Check them out below - including links to our reviews - and be sure to pick them up this holiday season!

The karting scene on Nintendo has been dominated by Mario Kart for as long as I can remember, despite valiant efforts by others such as Sonic Team Racing, and now, Nickelodeon Kart Racers! Understandably, it's hard to go up against a giant like Mario Kart and succeed, but with a lower price points, and loads of entertainment to be had, the offering from Nickelodeon comes close to being right up next to Mario Kart!

Yesterday, Nintendo had a Treehouse Live and showed off several games. The game that stood out the most to me was Yoshi’s Crafted World! Nintendo announced a Smash Bros Direct and a Treehouse Live for this Thursday. We have more details below and my thoughts on the two events. The Super Smash Bros Ultimate Direct will air on Thursday (11/1) at 10 a.m. ET and be 40 minutes long. Capcom has already bought the two Resident Evil Revelations games to the Nintendo Switch and Resident Evil 7 Cloud Edition in Japan. They’re not done yet! Capcom announced today that they’ll be bringing three more Resident Evil games to the Switch in 2019. Syberia 3 is an adventure game in the vain of King’s Quest or more recently, Thimbleweed, but without the humor and a ton more puzzles to solve. I have heard of Sid Meier’s Civilization but I’ve never played one of the games. I assumed it was a lot like Sim City. I was kind of right and kind of wrong.
