One of the things The Crew has going for it is actually the story. While overall it isn't breaking any major boundaries, it gets off to a great start. Unfortunately, the story becomes secondary to driving across America and essentially doing the same things over and over again, but Ubisoft grips players early with how things pan out. It's a story of crooked cops, a murdered brother, and so much more. The story starts off on a high, and probably would have great throughout had this been a much shorter experience.

Wave Race 64 was one of my favorite racing games ever, and when I saw Riptide GP2 I was instantly intrigued. Despite receiving a code for review, I probably would have put down 4.99 for the full version. When I completed the game, I wasn't as excited as when I began, but for the price, it seems like an adequate game for someone looking for a weekend of fun.

According to Evolution Studios, Driveclub is the racing game that they've always wanted to create, and considering their previous success with the Motorstorm series, PlayStation fans were very excited. With its, what seems to be, ambitious approach to multiplayer racing, it seemed promising. In practice, however, Driveclub falls short of being anything other than your average racing game.

Forza Horizon 2 is one of the best games on the Xbox One to date, and it is getting universal praise from almost every major gaming website on the web, aside from Polygon. The success of Horizon 2 is really great news for ALL racing genre fans, regardless of platform preferences.

Pool has been a regular target for developers over the years. It's definitely a simple idea to pull of, and it's always popular, but there are many games out there that capture the sport itself, but not the atmosphere surrounding it. Pure Pool tries to go beyond what you might expect.

Need for Speed Rivals is the first new-gen Need for Speed, a franchise that's all about cars, speed and (most of the time) cop chases. In Rivals, you get to choose on which side you are: the cops or the racers. You can switch between the law enforcers and speed addicts any time you visit one of your hideouts.

It's commonly known that sports games are released every year and even though they provide a solid and realistic experience, they don't improve much over the last iteration. The NBA 2K series is no different but this doesn't seem to be a bad thing, rather than re-invent the wheel 2K Games have decided to make slight improvements, everything that made NBA 2K13 great has been improved.

For baseball nerds like myself, there's nothing better than spring. Fresh batches of rookies, big stars on new squads, the inevitable, if completely misguided, World Series dream of every player and fan... and of course, the arrival of the latest Out of the Park Baseball award-winning sports simulation series. And this year's edition - the 15th - is undeniably the best yet, despite what initially looks and feels like an incremental improvement over OOTP 14. Racing games can generally be played in a variety of ways. While those that love Gran Turismo the most might play it as a simulator, it's just as easy to experience it as some approximation of Mario Kart, crashing into other vehicles on long bends or swinging onto the grass when necessary. NASCAR '14 is all about tight lines and clever driving, a fact that makes it both very playable and undoubtedly niche.

Trials Fusion is the newest title in the physics-defying bike series. In this game, you have to earn medals across a variety of tracks. You earn the medals through completing these stages in a certain time, and beneath a certain crashes. If you're worried about crashing, there are a lot of checkpoints throughout, which you'll soon find are very much needed. The game gets quite difficult at the end, and earning enough medals for the next series of courses might become a struggle.
