It’s been nine years next month since the last Silent Hill game was released, but people can’t stop talking about this damn franchise. Insiders everywhere know the next game is coming very, very soon. They promise. Honestly. It’s definitely going to be announced at the next big event. Trust me, it definitely is. Once both Harvest Moon: One World and Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town launch in March 2021, the next few months are going to be very interesting for both franchises. In my opinion, as someone who has invested dozens upon dozens of hours into these types of games, it's pretty difficult to have multiple different games on the go, and when you do, one will always take precedents. So the real question becomes - can Harvest Moon and Story of Seasons coexist in the same launch window?

Saying a game is going to 'lose' might seem a bit much, but I truly don't believe that is the case for Harvest Moon: One World which is scheduled to launch on the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 on March 2, 2021. With Story of Seasons launching just 3 weeks later, this might be the last chance Harvest Moon has to recapture the former farming simulator glory and reestablish itself as one of the best franchises in the genre.
