Minecraft Dungeons’ Jungle Awakens DLC is a Welcome Addition

Mojang recently released their Jungle Awakens DLC pack for Minecraft Dungeons, the first of two planned packs offered as part of the $30 Hero Edition of the game (the packs can still be purchased individually). Even if you don’t buy the DLC, there’s a free level, Lower Temple, on the main map.  That map has also been updated to show other hidden levels you may have missed along your playthrough.  On top of that, you can join a game hosted…

More Thoughts From Me #228: RIP E3? Hello, Other (Digital) Events

E3 is dead, long live E3. Well, okay, E3 is dead this year. We don’t know if it’ll be back next year or not. What we do know is that some companies still want to show off their games. And so we got digital events this month. I want to talk about a couple of them!   There was no E3 this year but we did get several digital only events like Summer Games Fest, whatever IGN was doing, and…

The Elder Scrolls Online: Greymoor Review

The Elder Scrolls Online isn't a game I play constantly, but it's one that draws me back in with each new DLC launch, and the latest expansion, Greymoor, is no different. I'm back in ESO full time for right now, checking out new locations, new quests, new mounts, and so much more. SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom – Rehydrated Review

In this modern age of gaming where remakes and remasters are a standard, ONE SPONGE stands alone (not really Patrick and Sandy are there too) to try and breath life again into the platformers of yesteryear? But does this one get the job done or does SpongeBob just leave us all wet? The original game was developed for PS2, Xbox, and Nintendo GameCube back in 2003 believe it or not. While a major commercial success, overall reviews were middling at…

Marvel’s Spider-man: Miles Morales Is A Stand Alone Game; Not Spider-man 2

My excitement for Marvel’s Spider-man: Miles Morales isn’t as high as it was yesterday. Why is that? Well, it turns out that Miles Morales is not a full game. Instead its a new expansion of Spider-man PS4 for the PS5. Update: Insomniac Games now says that Marvel’s Spider-man: Miles Morales is a stand alone game. Other sources are saying its a game like Uncharted: Lost Legecy. Miles Morales is not Spider-man 2. This whole thing is so confusing. Our orignal…

The Last of Us Part II (Spoiler Free) Review

Back on June 14th 2013, The original The Last of Us game came out and changed what video games could be forever. With groundbreaking graphics, writing better than many blockbuster movies released today, outstanding acting, outstanding sound design...it goes on and on. From my very first time playing it I was hooked, and it quickly landed in my top 3 games of all time despite it's gut wrenching opening that literally made me shed tears. It was the last hoorah for the PlayStation 3. Flash forward to today, and we must ask if The Last of Us Part II repeat history?
