Titanfall is an Xbox One exclusive (unless you have an Xbox 360 or PC). That's been a source of quiet disappointment for a lot of Sony-focussed arcade shooter fans with PlayStation 4s. It should be presumed that the biggest deciding factor behind the whole thing would be money, and yet Neogaf used Famousmortimer offers a slightly different look of things. Apparently the reason Titanfall ended up on Xbox One is because Sony was too quiet about what their plans for this generation were going to be.

A new patch for Call of Duty: Ghosts on the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 has been released. The patch contains a variety of different updates and fixes that should make playing on either Sony console that much more enjoyable. Fans will be especially happy for certain improvements to stability which has, until recently, been quite a hit or miss affair. There are also a few Ghosts updates for each specific console, so if there's been a problem on your device of choice, it might be worth checking the bottom of the list to see if it's been fixed.

Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes has gone from being a must-buy title to something that's massively controversial. So negative has recent reaction been that series creator and director Hideo Kojima has commented, trying to calm angry fans ahead of the release date next month.

The game nobody ever thought would be made: LEGO Marvel brings together almost every single noteworthy Marvel hero and places them into a world of blocks and building. Combining the likes of Spider-man and Captain America with the bright, colourful humour of the LEGO franchise was a genius move, and it hits almost all the right buttons.

An industry insider has revealed some of the upcoming games Sony supposedly has ready to reveal between now and E3. Take it with a pinch of salt - no "insider" ever manages to be 100% right all of the time, perhaps because internal projects are cancelled and shifted around so many times behind closed doors - but it does seem rather like a wishlist for the PlayStation community.

The last year has seen more than a few rumours involving Fallout 4. Not a single one of them has so far been proven to be true, with only the vaguer "confirmed at release" rumours still holding any water. It seems any troll with the capacity to purchase a website has looked to Bethesda as a source, perhaps because Fallout fans are so desperate to find out what's going to be coming next. They ought to prepare themselves for a long wait though - it seems Fallout 4 won't even be announced this year, let alone see release.

Square Enix have today confirmed to Eurogamer that the PlayStation 4 version of Thief will run at 1080p, whilst the Xbox One version will run at only 900p. It's a minor difference in actuality, and one that they say "you really need good eyes to see the difference."

Tomb Raider Definitive Edition fails to offer any sort of substantial additions or changes from the original 2013 release. But its lack of deviation is slightly marred by the better looking next-gen versions of the game. Tomb Raider is still the same thrilling experience jam-packed with satisfying gameplay, fantastical set-pieces, gorgeous visuals, and a likeable main character. It is undoubtedly flawed, most notably with its storytelling and writing, and the multiplayer mode still isn’t worth anyone’s time, but Tomb Raider is a great new beginning for a once ...

Sony's handheld that could might not be, but that doesn't mean it's a complete failure. The Vita is a technical powerhouse, and the capabilities of it make it well worth picking up. That's only been improved upon since the release of the PlayStation 4 as well. Maybe that's why such a huge amount of PS4 owners have decided to pick up a Vita as well.

Call of Duty: Ghosts got quite a bit of negative attention when it was first released, for a number of different reasons. It's a decent enough title, but it's obvious - way obvious - that it was made with Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 with mind, and then ported to next-gen machines. The next game in the franchise, likely released in November this year, is being made with next-gen hardware in mind.
