Metal Gear Solid V Ground Zeroes has all the makings of a very good game. An interesting beginning that has you waiting for answers, gameplay that goes beyond what you expect and offers depth and choice, all with the kind of production value that big budget movies wish they could approach - that's Ground Zeroes, a checklist of what all interactive entertainment should strive to achieve. There's only one major fault. The game Ground Zeroes should be is still at least a year out, if we're lucky, and what's on offer here doesn't even begin to scratch the itch it ...

EA Register Battlefield 5 Beta Site
Think Battlefield 4 is underwhelming? No need to worry - Battlefield 5 is on its way. That's not surprising though, there was never any reason to doubt EA would be bringing back their flagship shooter franchise. The question is how soon? Well, whatever happens, they're definitely keeping their options open, and have already registered the website for the Battlefield 5 beta site, Battlefield5beta.com.

Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes is a decent title, although the price doesn't quite match the amount of content on offer (our full review is coming later today). That hasn't stopped it being a pretty successful seller though, hitting second place in the charts behind Infamous: Second Son. The fact that it's had a fairly exciting launch isn't really the most interesting thing about its release though. For that, you'll need to look closer.

Eurogamer have leaked information on the next Far Cry game, confirming that it'll be very similar to Far Cry 3 but set in a snowier region. Far Cry 4 has been no secret, and was revealed by Ubisoft almost as soon as Far Cry 3 was released, although specific details have yet to be released. With this new leak, we've learnt an awful lot about the next title in the franchise, including when we're likely to catch out first glimpse.

The other day we posted screens from a brand new Assassin's Creed set during the French Revolution. Called Assassin's Creed Unity, the game is exclusive to new-gen consoles, and the video below apparently shows in-game visuals. It's possible, although don't get your hopes up, that what we're seeing here will actually be what you see when you start playing.

Oddworld: New 'n' Tasty is well on its way and is looking great. Every set of screenshots, every new piece of information shows a game that's honest to the original Oddysee, but that has been improved upon with modern technology. At GDC this week, Just Add Water and Oddworld Inhabitants released a brand new video showing off some familiar, but excitingly new gameplay.

An Ubisoft leak courtesy of Kotaku seems to imply that at least part of the next Assassin's Creed game will take place in France, at least in part. This isn't just yet another location rumour though - this one comes with pictures. Despite the fact that it's obvious this is a game in development, these Parisian landmarks actually look rather good.

Sony have announced that a major PlayStation 4 update is in the works, and that it'll be available to download in the coming weeks. Although they've not yet revealed everything that the update will do, they did give us a sneak peak at some of the new additions that they're bringing to the Share button, hopefully just the tip of the iceberg for what we can expect.

Sony took to the stage at GDC this morning to announce the announcement nobody could see coming: a VR headset. Dubbed Project Morpheus, the device has all the bells and whistles you'd expect, and although price has yet to be announced, you ought to start saving now if the list of features is anything to go by. With that said, it'll only be available on the PlayStation 4, so if you don't have Sony's new-gen machine, you'll need to save even more.

The PlayStation 4 has received another big update today, although that's big as in size, not content. The firmware jump to 1.62 weighs in at over 300MBs, a size that would have encompassed a whole game at one point, but now does little but fixes some software issues. Still, it shouldn't be a big problem for the majority of PS4 owners, and the added stability is never a bad thing.
