Sony Confirmed The Last of Us PS4

Everybody has known about The Last of Us PS4 for, well, quite a while. It was turning up for pre-order in stores at the beginning of the year, and development was confirmed by a senior Sony employee last month. Stores were even accepting pre-orders and offering bonuses. The only part of the video game chain that couldn't accept its existence was Sony as a whole, but that changed today.

inFamous Second Son Review

When playing inFamous Second Son, I received a deluge of visual satisfaction. Sucker Punch’s third attempt at its superhero series is a great showcase of PlayStation 4’s technical prowess. Particle effects galore, a breathtakingly gorgeous open-world, and great facial animations make Second Son the best looking PS4 game by a mile. But for all of Sucker Punch’s technical advancements, the game’s storytelling failed to meet the same type of improvements.

Sony Hints at new PS4 Features in Online Survey

A PlayStation-focussed survey from Sony seems to hint at some future features that might end up appearing on the PlayStation 4. Many are options that fans have been asking for, so it's nice to see they're paying attention to reaction. There's no reason to think these will pop up in the near future, or at all, but positive replies from those invited to the survey might mean certain things appear sooner than others.

Predator Leaping into Call of Duty

A short teaser video from the official Call of Duty Instagram page shows a distinctly Predator-esque level, with a distinctly invisible threat hunting the player. Although it's not expressly said that Predator will be making an appearance in the next set of DLC maps, which the video is a teaser for, it's pretty obvious. The description even has the quote "If it bleeds..." in it.

GameStop Says New Generation Doing Better than Expected

Retailer GameStop reckons the new generation has been better than anybody could have expected, going so far as to outsell the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in store in their first 15 months on the market. Hardware sales were actually higher than anybody had hoped over the Christmas period, although software sales dropped. That's perhaps to be expected, if people are going out and buying new hardware.

The Last of Us is Coming to PS4

The Last of Us has been teased for PlayStation 4 multiple times since the console was released at the end of last year. It's no surprise either. The game was great, but suffered from some graphical issues as a result of it being made for old hardware. Naughty Dog did an absolutely amazing job hiding that fact, but occasional frame rate drops and odd lighting proved a next-gen version would be so much better. It seems that it might be happening, and sooner rather than later.

PS4 up 50.00 for Canadian Retailer

Many years ago when there was a huge discrepancy between the value of the Canadian and US dollar, games and consoles in Canada were significantly more expensive then the United States. However, over the last generation, the Canadian-US dollar has almost been at par because of a failing US economy coupled with a strong Canadian economy.
