A new patch for Call of Duty: Ghosts on the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 has been released. The patch contains a variety of different updates and fixes that should make playing on either Sony console that much more enjoyable. Fans will be especially happy for certain improvements to stability which has, until recently, been quite a hit or miss affair. There are also a few Ghosts updates for each specific console, so if there's been a problem on your device of choice, it might be worth checking the bottom of the list to see if it's been fixed.

Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes has gone from being a must-buy title to something that's massively controversial. So negative has recent reaction been that series creator and director Hideo Kojima has commented, trying to calm angry fans ahead of the release date next month.

The last year has seen more than a few rumours involving Fallout 4. Not a single one of them has so far been proven to be true, with only the vaguer "confirmed at release" rumours still holding any water. It seems any troll with the capacity to purchase a website has looked to Bethesda as a source, perhaps because Fallout fans are so desperate to find out what's going to be coming next. They ought to prepare themselves for a long wait though - it seems Fallout 4 won't even be announced this year, let alone see release.

Call of Duty: Ghosts got quite a bit of negative attention when it was first released, for a number of different reasons. It's a decent enough title, but it's obvious - way obvious - that it was made with Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 with mind, and then ported to next-gen machines. The next game in the franchise, likely released in November this year, is being made with next-gen hardware in mind.
