With Disney Infinity bowing out of the Toys-To-Life marketplace, there really are only two options for these types of games: Skylanders and LEGO Dimensions. While Skylanders does get plenty of play time in my home, LEGO Dimensions easily trumps it, and in our humble opinion, it is the toys-to-life game you should be buying this holiday season. Here is a wrap up of what has released recently, and what is going to release soon, complete with links to our opinions!

LEGO Dimensions is the must own Toys-to-Life gift this holiday season, and for LEGO fans, the most own game this holiday season. No, it's not a new title, but with all the updates and releases from LEGO and Warner Bros., you would think it is! More characters are being announced for Lego Dimensions all the time. Some of them are unsurprising, like the Fantastic Beasts characters, and some of them have come out of where, like the A-Team. Warner Bros, TT Games, and the Lego Group announced an expansion of Lego Dimensions today. We have all the details (and a trailer) below! On September 27th, even more figures will start launching for Lego Dimensions. For those in North America hoping to play Persona 5, you will likely be waiting a little bit longer. It was announced today that the North American release of Persona 5 would no be coming until February of 2017. For Persona fans, this is sadly five months after the game comes out in Japan, which will be a big dissapointment for some who were hoping for a universal release.

When South Park: The Stick Of Truth came out for the leading consoles in 2014, it marked new heights for South Park in gaming. IGN's review likened the game to playing a 14-hour South Park episode, which feels like exactly what creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker set out to accomplish. It's an immersive and hilarious RPG that took place in an extraordinarily detailed setting based on the town fans are so familiar with from the show.
