More Thoughts From Me #265: Closing Down the (Digital) Shop

This week we got rumors that the PS3/PSP/Vita digital stores will be shutting down this year. Usually I do not report or even talk about rumors. That said, the closing of those shops will happen sooner or later! What do I think of digital stores closing? Let’s dig into it. Its always tough when digital store fronts close down. We all know why this happens: digital stores take up server space for companies. They cost money to keep up and…

Secret Lab Titan Stealth Gaming Chair Review

With a multitude of gaming chair companies scattered around the globe, it's often hard to decide which chair will be the best fit for you. Secret Lab is definitely on the higher end of the gaming chair price spectrum, but the quality components, fantastic seats, and so ...

Console Gaming Needs Graphical Settings More Than Ever

Developers, I love you, but this conversation is overdue. Your choice of graphical settings consistently suck in console games, and it’s time to just hand over the reigns to the end user. I know, I know, this isn’t what consoles are all about. Just buy a PC, right? But these new consoles are powerful enough to do native 4K, 60FPS, and definitely not both. But why? On PC, players can make their own compromises, working out the kinks on as…

The State of State of Play

Let’s be honest – this week’s State of Play was just okay. The recent general Nintendo Direct wasn’t much better. What happening with these update videos, and why do they keep disappointing?
