After months of rumblings, Warner Brothers have officially announced Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition for the PC. After the game turned up on SteamDB and people were shown to be playing it through opensteamworks, it was more or less a foregone conclusion, but core gamers will be happy to see this one come to fruition.

Made by a team led by Tomasz Gop, the senior producer on The Witcher 2, Lords of the Fallen is a new next-gen action RPG due in 2014. Square Enix have today released a fresh batch of screens for Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn. Showing off some beautiful landscapes, you can tell XIV is a Final Fantasy game regardless of its MMO-status. If nothing else comes of A Realm Reborn and it releases to another round of "meh," at least those who enjoyed the original release and are looking to continue supporting Square will have some nice things to look at.

Dungeons & Dragons Neverwinter is one of the biggest free-to-play MMO games of the year, offering classic RPG elements within a massively multiplayer action environment. Developed by Cryptic games, the team that built Champions Online and Star Trek Online, and published by Perfect World, the beta received a lot of attention and impressed thousands of new fans. SEGA have announced the release date for the next entry in the hugely popular Total War franchise. Total War: Rome II will be available to players all around the world in September this year. Both digital and physical versions of Rome II will be available from its global release date on September 9th, 2013. EA and Maxis unveiled The Sims 4, a new game in the massively successful Sims franchise. They were quick to confirm that this would, indeed, be offline and that the mistakes made by the SimCity release have been well learnt from.

The stand-alone expansion to Far Cry 3, Blood Dragon, has only just come out, but are Ubisoft already considering a sequel? This is according to Michael Biehn, the actor lending his voice to the character of Rex Colt. Speaking on Major Nelson Radio, Biehn said that the game's creative director, Dean Evans, is in discussions to develop a sequel.

Activision has officially announced the arrival of the next title in the Call of Duty franchise, Call of Duty: Ghosts.
