The latest pirate action RPG is about to grace PC and home consoles, but the folks at 3D Clouds decided that perhaps a demo was in the best interest of the people. As someone on the fence about this title from day one - as we have been promised amazing pirate adventures before that have not always panned out - I'm really looking forward to checking out the demo ahead of the May 25th release date!

With just a few more days until Pokemon Snap officially launches for the Nintendo Switch, and I for one am very excited. The original Pokemon Snap was one of my most played games on the N64, it was just at the right time, a relaxing game with tons of replay value. Keep in mind due to system limitations the game really hasn't aged well as most games of that era didn't. But my wife (girlfriend) at the time and I spent countless hours perfecting our craft. Yes, we did even take our save data to blockbuster and printed the stickers they used to do.

The first major DLC bundle for Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town is coming out next week, and as a huge fan of this title, I couldn't be more excited. Although not a ton of new stuff will be added - we have to wait until May to get the first big DLC pack - there still is some fun to be had to extend your Story of Seasons experience.

If you haven't read our various Immortals: Fenyx Rising reviews, you should. We have written a ton about this game on the site, from Mat Growcott's next generation review, Kevin Austin's look at the game on Nintendo Switch, and more! But what Ubisoft has done better than most is support their title with fantastic and varied DLC, and this is highlighted by their latest release, The Lost Gods.

If you've been paying attention to the website, my twitter account, or even my YouTube channel, you know I've been playing a lot of farming simulation titles like Story of Seasons, Harvest Moon, and Stardew Valley! Now I can actually play these games and do some good on April 22nd, on Earth Day.

About a week ago, I was looking through Twitter as I do each morning and stumbled across a post from a friend detailing a brand new Kickstarter campaign for the Unofficial amiibo handbook. With New Pokémon Snap on the verge of being released later this month, I went back to the Nintendo 64 version to see if it was as good as I remember. While I enjoyed it for about an hour, while nostalgia dripped all over me, I quickly realized it was a somewhat shallow experience that really doesn't hold up well so many years later. This begged the question: why was the original Pokémon Snap so successful? I think I might have the answer, or at least a rational.

It seems that anytime a video game launches in 2021, we are all eager to blow through it as fast as possible. Hell, folks are taking days of work to play their favourite video games for hours on end, to drink up every moment of the story, find every collectible, and more. Unless you plan on fast traveling, Cozy Grove has taken on the Animal Crossing  philosophy that 30 minutes to an hour of gameplay is all that is really necessary per day, keeping you invested in the game for longer periods of time without burning you out within the first week. Today, Nintendo showcased a number of new Indie developed titles that will be coming to the Nintendo Switch in the near future. While not everything on offer was for my liking, I was more intrigued during this showcase than I have been watching others! You can watch my entire reaction to the showcase below!

Within the last few years, we have been blessed by a number of fantastic farming / city building simulation styles. There has been no shortage with the likes of Stardew Valley updates, Story of Seasons, Summer in Mara, Harvest Moon, Littlewood...the list just goes on. Deiland: Pocket Planet - previously released on other platforms - is now trying to break through on the Nintendo Switch with new features and gameplay mechanics. Deiland does things just a bit differently, however, which sets itself apart form the competition. Let's dive in!
