Yesterday's Nintendo Direct was incredible, with 45 minutes of non-stop announcements, reveals, and details on all our favorite announced - and previously unannounced - titles coming to the Nintendo Switch and the Nintendo 3DS family of systems. One of the coolest announcements during that direct was the unveiling of a brand new, Pokeball designed New Nintendo 2DS XL. On top of that, new details were provided for the upcoming Pokémon titles heading to the Nintendo 3DS family of systems.

When I first saw Monster Hunter Stories in the Nintendo eShop, it was right around the day the demo landed, and everybody kept saying online, "It's Pokémon, but Monster Hunter." I was intrigued immediately, but that excitement was quickly quashed when I realized that Monster Hunter Stories is almost nothing like Pokémon at all. Then I played the demo, and a new wave of excitement passed through me. Monster Hunter Stories is not a game without a number of faults, but the overall package work really well, making it one of my favorite 3DS games this year.

I’m not a Monster Hunter fan. I’ve have tried demos of the other games and didn’t care for them much. But Monster Hunter Stories looked different. The game has cel-shaded graphics and a turn-based rpg battle system. I like both. Would I like Monster Hunter Stories better than the games it was related to? Dusk Form Lycanroc is coming to Pokémon Ultra Sun and Pokémon Ultra Moon, and will be a downloadable 'freebie' for those who pick up the game between its release date on November 17, 2017 and January 10, 2018. Pokémon Ultra Sun and Pokémon Ultra Moon will extend the gameplay of the original Pokémon Sun and Pokémon moon with new exclusive Pokémon, a new story, and some new areas to explore. We are really looking forward to this holiday release, and will have a review ahead of launch up on the website.
