Monowheels seem to be one of the hottest trends in transportation now, including in Australia. But this vehicle concept is not new. The Cross-Gen Concern is Getting Old

There’s been a fresh wave of concern over the prospect of “cross-gen” games this week – or games that’ll come to both the PS4 generation consoles and PS5/Series X. It’s getting beyond old. Every few months it’s the same thing: “we can’t see what these devices are truly capable of until they ditch PS4 and Xbox One.” And while that’s partly true in some extreme use cases – situations where the game’s physics are tied to a better GPU or…

Miitopia Finds A New Home on The Switch

Miitopia started its life as a 3DS game. We reviewed that and liked it a lot. We also really enjoyed the Nintendo Switch demo! Now the full Miitopia game is out for the Switch and we have received a review copy of that version too. How is it so far? Is it really different from the 3DS one? For those who don’t know what Miitopia is, here is what I said in my review of the 3DS version: “An evil…

Gravitrax Pro Takes the Marble Game to New Heights…Literally

Late in 2019, we reviewed a revolutionary new toy from Ravensburger called Gravitrax, and at that time we called it one of the best toys currently available on the marketplace. Two years later, and prior to receiving the Gravitrax Pro sets for review, I would have echoed that statement. We get a lot of toys and games to review on GamesReviews, but none of them have had the longevity of Gravitrax. A few months of play is pretty solid for any kids, mine included. But years? Even before new fun pieces arrived, Gravitrax was a weekly play-thing in the Roffel ...

My Little Scythe – Pie in the Sky Expansion Review

Although I'm a grown, 32 year old man, I've come to enjoy playing the kid friendly version of Scythe rather than the full fledged, incredibly deep adult version. Over the past few weeks, we have been bringing My Little Scythe to the table time and time again, and have been using the games loan expansion, Pie in the Sky as well. Thanks to our friends at Stonemaeir games, we have been reviewing this title and are ready to do a deep dive on what we think! Is the added cost worth what it brings to your game? Let's dive in!

Upwords Board Game Review

I've been a fan of Scrabble for as long as I can remember, and when Words With Friends and other such games landed on Facebook and the Android and iOS marketplaces, I grabbed onto them and played them to death. But let's face it - it's an old concept that can get dull pretty quickly, so I'm always on the lookout for interesting new, word game experiences. Enter Upwords, which has been around for a little while now, but has been solely owned by Spin Master for the last few, and has recently recieved a re-release. Do we like this Scrabble-esque title? Let's hop in!

Carpe Diem Board Game Review

I've always been a huge fan of tile laying board games, whether that be Carcassonne, Between Two Castle of Mad Kind Ludwig, or even an older more obscure title, La Strada.  What these games tend to excel at are providing a varied, highly replayable experience that never feels exactly the same time-after-time. These are the kinds of games are easy to teach, but often times somewhat difficult to master. When getting Carpe Diem from Ravensburger to the table a few times this weekend, I knew I was in for a good time. But how good? Let's dive in!

Famicom Detective Club: The Last Heir 100% Video Walkthrough

Today marks the first time the Famicom Detective Club games have existed in the west, more than two decades after they were originally released on the Nintendo Entertainment System back in 1988 and 1989. The updated games on Nintendo Switch come with brand new visuals, a complete track of Japanese voice acting, and so much more. The music has also received an overhaul! We really enjoyed the game here at GamesReviews.com, but know it can be frustrating.
