Red Rising from Stonemaier Games – Review

Over the past few weeks, I've been playing Red Rising, one of the newer board games from Stonemaier Games. For whatever reason, I never felt that Red Rising fit into the mould of games that Stonemaier was creating and publishing, and even after playing, it definitely feels different. While many of Stonemaier's previous games are deep dives that can take up to a few hours to complete, Red Rising - based on a popular book series - is fairly quick after you've learned the ins and outs of all the cards you'll be playing.

Rainbow Six Siege is Hella fun on Google Stadia

Rainbow Six Siege has been a gem of a title for Ubisoft for about half a decade, and as they bring more and more platforms online, the pool of available players, and the availability of the title to a wider audience, continues to grow. And while many might quickly write off the Stadia version, claiming there w0n't be a pool of players because, "Google Stadia is dead," rest assured your player base will be massive with cross-play support between Stadia, Luna from Amazon, and P

Between Two Castles of Mad Kind Ludwig: Secrets and Soirees Expansion

A few years ago, we took a look at the fantastic Stonemaier title, Between Two Castles of Mad King Ludwig, which combined elements of the infamous games Between Two Cities, and Castles of Mad King Ludwig. The rules worked well, the components were of a superior quality - as they always are with Stonemaier - and the game was just fun to play. Who wouldn't want to build not one, but two castles?! Stonemaier has done an ...

Screenless Coding – indi is Bringing Coding Fun for Youngsters this September

The concept and importance of STEM - science, technology, engineering, and mathematics - is becoming increasingly more popular year over year, and parents are clamouring to find the latest and greatest STEM products, camps, and more for their kids. So many companies now advertise STEM friendly activities for kids, but in my home, we've found that most of these companies are profiting off the philosophy, as opposed to actually providing engaging, STEM products. Our kids are currently using the SPHERO MINI set, and we've been more impressed with that product ...

Willy Morgan and the Curse of Bone Town Proves that Point and Click Rule the Switch

I've just rolled the credit on Willy Morgan and the Curse of Bone Town on Nintendo Switch, and this was the closet experience I've felt to when I played Kings Quest 5 and 6 back in the day. From wonderfully drawn worlds to the witty writing, it has been proven yet again that games like Willy Morgan rule on the Nintendo Switch. It's a point and click adventure master system!

Sony Shows off it’s Versatility in State of Play

PlayStation has a ton of great AAA titles heading for the console in late 2021 and early 2022, but yesterday's State of Play wasn't about any of first party titles. Instead, I fully believe that Sony showed off their versatility in what they can offer their fans, with a ton of great and diverse exclusive titles. Anytime Nintendo does a direct and leaves out the big boys - aka, Zelda, Mario, etc - hardcore indie fans are always abuzz, while most Nintendo fans are left disappointed. That wasn't the case here.

Worms Rumble Runs Well on Nintendo Switch

Although I wasn't quite sure what to expect when I launched Worms Rumble on Nintendo Switch, I was glad to almost instantly see that cross-play with other consoles was an option. With no knowledge of the title whatsoever, the thing I wanted to know was: will people actually be playing this on Nintendo Switch? Will it run OK on the system? Thankfully, even if players aren't on Nintendo Switch, I was hoping in and out of most games with relative ease, and enjoying a fairly smooth experience along the way.
