As we move into the Spring and Summer months here in Canada, my wife and I begin looking at toys we can safely store outside - so plastic, preferably - and that my kids will enjoy using on the pavements, walking paths, and patches of lawn. While most indoor toys don't particularly do well outside, we have found one brand that does - Playmobil. When Warner Bros. and Travelers Tales decide it's time to shake up the LEGO formula the results are generally positive. Shake-ups have resulted in the best LEGO game ever made, LEGO City Undercover, and now the most ambitious LEGO game ever made, LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga. This latest entry in the LEGO franchise is easily one of the franchises' best, and there is no doubt in my mind that it will be a stepping stone for future titles.

Bugsnax was easily one of the best new titles available right around the launch of the PlayStation 5 - the beautifully crafted world, humrous writing, and fantastic gameplay made snatching up bugs and helping the locals such a good time. While originally exclusive to PlayStation, the game is now coming to Nintendo Switch and Xbox Game Pass later this month, complete with a brand new (FREE!) DLC, The Isle of Bigsnax. 

Over the weekend, I've been diving into LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga on my Nintendo Switch. It's been quite a while since I've played a LEGO video game, for a variety of reasons. The older games don't grip me like they once did, and even when it's a franchise I love - Harry Potter, for example - there always seems to be a reason why I don't enjoy the experience. So how is LEGO Star Wars on the Nintendo Switch? My first impressions are below!

This article needs to begin with a pretty big caveat. If Hogwarts Legacy is not running natively on the Nintendo Switch - which means it can only be played via the cloud - and as long as it looks half decent - like Skyrim or the Witcher III - then I will most definitely be playing this game on Nintendo Switch. Graphics are important to me, and when I play games like Horizon Forbidden West on my PlayStation 5 and Forza Horizon 5 on my Xbox Series X, I'm blown away. But there is something portable about the Switch that makes it my ideal console for gaming.

Review for LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga have begun to drop around the interwebs, and from most people's vantage point, the game is not likely to disappoint. With levels spanning all 9 mainline films, and over 300 characters to play as, there seems to be plenty to do in a galaxy far, far away!
