It was the surprise fantasy detective story of 2013, but unfortunately Telltale's The Wolf Among Us disappeared of a lot of radars when the developer announced episode two wouldn't be available until 2014. Now, with the first episode of season two of The Walking Dead out of the way, Telltale have announced a more specific release date: the first week of February.

It's no secret that there were some Xbox 360-only owners desperate to play the Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD Remix collection that was released last year but, alas, their call for a port went ignored. There's a million reasons it might not have happened, but that hasn't stopped one plucky fan from starting a petition to change things, and it's a petition that's begun to pick up speed.

It might not be taking on the likes of Grand Theft Auto, but the standalone edition of DayZ is doing incredibly well. In only a single month it has managed to sell a million copies on Steam, something that's incredibly impressive by almost any standard. It's doing even better when you realize it's currently part of Steam's Early Access initiative and it's not even properly released yet (or, rather, not in a fully stable state).

GTA V was a real success story, quickly becoming a record breaker despite releasing at the end of the year. It continues to be popular, although a lot of people are disappointed with the online mode. Still hungry to play EA's latest Sim City, but have been angrily holding your ground, refusing to buy it, after learning that it required you to be always online? Well, after some big promises and a lot of lies about what the cloud was doing in the background, the publisher has announced that Sim City will soon be playable offline.

Last week, Bethesda accidentally teased their fanbase with the unveiling of the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One edition of Skyrim. The community went mad, some wondering why it was a necessary addition to new generation machines, others excited to once again explore a now refreshed, graphically improved land. Unfortunately, it isn't going to happen.

Sony Online Entertainment are working on a set of unannounced games, some of which CEO John Smedley claims PS2 players "might just like". With Everquest Next handling the main Everquest line going forward, it might just be that Sony are looking to revive the Champions series.

Square Enix have today announced that Final Fantasy XIV will be having a free login weekend over the next few days for EU-based players.

Planetside 2 on PC is a fantastic game, and those that love it enough to subscribe are going to see some changes over the next few months. Instead of the 500SC they've been recieving each month as a reward, they'll instead be able to choose any one item up to 2000SC. On the surface this seems like a fantastic deal, but it's worried some long term fans. CEO John Smedley jumped on Reddit to clarify the changes:

It was, at launch, a single player game but has since had its multiplayer component, Grand Theft Auto Online, activated, and there's trophies for both the online and single player portions of the game.
