Dualshock 4 Light Causes Drama

The Dualshock 4 has a great big light on it. It was one of the first things announced about the controller and there are basically three functions behind it. You can differentiate between players, it interacts with the camera and, in certain games, it's utilized by devs as a kind of secondary output. Killzone, for instance, shows your health status via this little light. Suddenly, people are asking why any of this matters, and are begging Sony to let them turn it off.

“Active Development” Halted on Gone Home Oculus Rift

Gone Home seems like an obvious candidate for the 3D VR set Oculus Rift, the little device that's already revolutionizing gaming for some people (or so you'd believe if you spent any time on Reddit). Still, it's not as simple as that, and because of the extra work that would be needed to make Gone Home a "good" Rift game, the developer has announce active development has halted.

Dualshock 3 Usable on Jailbroken iOS 7

A brand new Jailbreak hack allows for users of iOS 7 to play controller-compatible games with a PlayStation Dualshock 3 controller. This is great news for those that want a controller for their phone but don't necessarily want to buy something new to go with it. It's easy to set up - presuming you already know the basics of a hacked phone - and will no doubt change the way some people play games on their phone.

Phil Spencer Signed the Kingdom Hearts 360 Petition

You just know behind-the-scenes conversations must be odd when a major part of a company like Microsoft signs an online petition to bring the Kingdom Hearts 1.5 REmix HD Collection to 360. That's exactly what's happened. Phil Spencer took to Twitter today, replying to someone who linked him the Kingdom Hearts 360 petition we covered a few days ago, confirming that he signed it.

Lightning Returns Demo Available Soon

Final Fantasy XIII wasn't everybody's cup of tea. Square Enix managed to fix the most common problems with Final Fantasy XIII-2, and there were still people that weren't satisfied with their purchase (or by the trailers they watched on YouTube, at least). Before you make the same mistake again with Lightning Returns, consider downloading the demo, available on Xbox 360 today and PlayStation 3 tomorrow.

February PlayStation Plus EU Update Leaked?

It looks like the February content for Europe's PlayStation Plus content may have been leaked, and boy is it a good'n. There's enough here to keep you going for the full year, let alone just for February, and owners of each console are going to be hard pushed to get through it all. Still, it's hard to deny the value, even if it just sits in your download list for the next six months.

Early Access Titanfall Players “Forbidden” from Sharing Opinions

It's no surprise that users with early access to an upcoming game won't be allowed to share screens, video, opinions or even details about said game ahead of its release, but, yup, Titanfall will be the same. Only made noteworthy by the fact the developers took to Twitter to confirm it, it seems some fans are desperate to share their results.

Tomb Raider Profitable “From the End of Last Year”

A lot was made of the "irresponsibility of publishers" when Square Enix announced Tomb Raider was a stinking failure (although they didn't use those words). Despite the fact it had managed to push millions and millions of units in a matter of months, it had still not been profitable. While Crystal Dynamics' latest had garnered sales most developers would never even think possible, it still managed to sit in the red.
