Bioshock, the underwater shooter that had everybody on the internet using the phrase "would you kindly" at bemused non-gamers, is coming to iPhone and iPad. Yes, you read that correctly: one of the most notable console experiences of last generation is going to be entirely playable on your iOS device. It isn't even April.

You'd be forgiven for thinking that No Man's Sky was a PlayStation 4 exclusive. It's been heavily marketed alongside other Sony greats over the last few months, but the developers have clarified exactly where you'll be able to play the game when it releases. Sure, it'll be first on PlayStation, but it definitely won't be staying there.

Konami have announced that they've organized a special "preview night" dedicated to Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. The show will be hosted by Geoff Keighley and will feature an exclusive demonstration by Hideo Kojima of "the impressive capabilities of Kojima Productions’ breathtaking FOX Engine." The evening will coincide with Gamescom and will take place in Cologne, Germany.

Regular users of the Official PlayStation App will be happy to know that it has received a brand new update on both iOS and Android. Although the update doesn't seem to contain any new features, it's nice to see that Sony are managing to keep up with managing both devices simultaneously, and alongside updates for the PlayStation 4.

Nintendo has a new character. Well, they actually have a new variation of an old character. If you've been a lifetime Nintendo fan, you might remember Toad as that annoying guy who was always scared in Super Mario RPG on the SNES, or the fellow who just stood around in the castle offering up stars and advice in Super Mario 64 on the N64. Toad has come a long way over the years, and despite maintaining his reputation for being frightened, he's even been given his own title to gloat about.

Three games from this month's PlayStation Plus have leaked. It's not the big AAA games that some might have hoped for from August's lineup, but there's still some good titles there for those that don't already have them. The ad, which was published on the official PlayStation website, doesn't contain every single game, but since these are the ones Sony have chosen to "headline," it probably means this is the best that's coming.
