Yesterday, thanks to the amazing Adam Roffel and Nintendo Canada, I received a review copy of Fire Emblem Echoes. Since I just started playing the gam, the review for this game is far from ready. It is not often I get a LEGO set in the mail and go, "I didn't know this existed!" but that was the case this week when I unboxed a wonderful review box sent over by The Lego Group. Aside from a few Star Wars sets and LEGO Creator sets, The LEGO Group's PR company also sent along two Marvel Brick Headz sets, Iron Man and Hulk. These a pretty solid sets with almost 100 pieces each. I put together the Iron Man figure last night and was incredibly impressed!

The LEGO Group, in partnership with Majong, is launching the largest Minecraft LEGO set to date on July 1st around the world (249.99 USD, 299.99 CAD). The set will consist of 2,863 pieces, and will include popular figures from the Minecraft universe, including characters Steve and Alex, plus a cave spider, wolf, baby wolf, slime, 2 small slimes, 2 bats, zombie, enderman, skeleton, sheep and a charged Creeper™.

So far this year, we’ve seen the release of numerous brilliant games for the Xbox One. Resident Evil 7: Biohazard, Sniper Elite 4, Halo Wars 2, Lego Worlds, Mass Effect: Andromeda… the list goes on and on. But 2017 isn’t over yet. The latest release of the Pokémon Trading Card Game released last week to much fanfare, and for good reason. With new cards and artwork for Pokémon fans to enjoy, this release adds to the already outstanding Pokémon Sun and Moon lineup of cards. Thanks to the Pokémon Company, we have received a number of items to unbox and review. The Forza Horizon series has been incredibly popular, not only amongst fans and media outlets, but here on GamesReviews as well. We scored both Forza Horizon 2 and Forza Horizon 3 with 9+ scores, praising the games varied events, outstanding driving mechanics, authentic weather and day-night cycles, and more. I didn't think my favorite racing franchise could get any better. Even the Blizzard Mountain DLC for Forza Horizon 3 wasn't enough to make me go "wow." Hot Wheels will do that though, and it did, thanks to the latest DLC release last week.

A full review of NBA Playgrounds on Nintendo Switch isn't currently possible with arguably the games biggest mode being currently unavailable. Without online play, NBA Playgrounds is a fun experience for a few games, but without someone human to play with, the experience becomes pretty dull, pretty quickly.

After getting all his chores complete and his homework finished, the highlight of my sons evening last night was busting open The Goonies level pack for LEGO Dimensions and putting together the wicked looking minibuilds that come included. While my overall knowledge of The Goonies is fairly minimal, you cannot help but appreciate how much detail goes in to One Eyed Willy's Pirate Ship and the Skeleton Organ. Warner Bros. Entertainment in Toronto was nice enough to pass along the latest wave of LEGO Dimensions sets for us to unbox and review.
