Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze is re-launching on Nintendo Switch, after a lackluster performance on the Nintendo Wii U. According to VGChartz, the title sold roughly 1.72 million units on the Wii U, being far outpaced by Nintendo's other major franchises, including Mario Kart 8 (8M+), Super Mario 3D World (5M+), New Super Mario Bros (5M+), and Super Smash Bros (5M+). The question ultimately becomes: is re-launching Tropical Freeze on Nintendo Switch a precursor to a new Donkey Kong Country game on the system, or simply a way for Nintendo - 4 years ...

Thankfully, most tech companies have been releasing watches that will do this all for you, although they are not all created equal. Read MoreThe Changing Face of the Multiplatform Experience
Much like literature or cinema, video games are great at bringing people together. Enjoyable gameplay, worthy challenges, and memorable stories can all create situations where we can instantly relate to others who have undergone similar trials and experiences. One of the ways in which publishers allow this is through what is known as the multiplatform release. Simply put, this refers to games which are released over a variety of different devices, from PCs to mobiles to consoles and handhelds and…

While the characters are the real draw for playing through the Disney Magic Kingdoms events to completion, I have a soft spot for the buildings as well. Some events lend themselves to cool buildings better than others, and as is the case with "A Stitch'y Situation," some of the buildings are event replications of actual attractions and food sites from Disney Parks around the world. Yesterday was a heartbreaking day for the people of Toronto, and across the entire country, as a man used a rented van to drive down a sidewalk, killing 10 people and injuring 15 others. It's hard to talk about video games, or even get excited about video games when stuff like this happens, and one company agrees. UKIYO Publishing, the team behind Death Road to Canada, have opted to postpone their games release on Xbox One, PS4, and Nintendo Switch in light of the events.

The Roffel home has become consumed by Nintendo Labo, but as we don't have unlimited resources, we opted to go with the Variety Kit which we thought was a better choice for our younger children. Friend of the website, Abdallah, has been rocking out the Robot Kit for a number of days now, and has been posting some great video online showcasing the game in action, as well as how to build the kit itself.

Titan Quest originally release many years ago in 2006 by THQ, but didn’t see a console release until 2018. While the original title was liked by most reviewers - earning a metacritic score of 77 - it wasn’t known coming into launch how it would fair on the Xbox One and PS4. After many hours with the game ourselves, we can say with confidence that the original feel of the game is alive and well, although some polish could have been used to bring the title into the modern age.
