One Key Way to Succeed at Hyrule Warriors

When playing through Hyrule Warriors Definitive Edition on Nintendo Switch, there is one thing all players can do that could ultimately be the difference between winning or defeat. How you deal with the swarming enemies is probably more important than you think, but focusing on them over objectives is a HUGE mistake!

Lost Sea – Nintendo Switch

Over the past week, I've been putting significant time into Lost Sea, a game originally released a while ago (we played on PS4) but just coming to Switch on May 31st. Lost Sea is a puzzle, exploration, RPG experience that sees you playing as a surviving castaway moving from island to island, attempting to escape the Bermuda Triangle. With colourful graphics and lots to do, Lost Sea will keep you busy for hours upon hours, even when the moments become a bit repetitive.

Disney Magic Kingdom – Bambi Update Patch Notes (Patch 20)

The patch notes for the Bambi update - live now - to Disney Magic Kingdoms is available via the Disney Magic Kingdoms Facebook page, and we are diving in to see what other improvements, if any, will be coming to the game over the next little while. Outside of Bambi and friends obviously being added to the kingdom, there are a few items we are hoping to see that would be brought over from other, successful 'city/town/park' buildings games: the ability to set all your characters to a task, at one time. Will we get it? Likely not, but that's OK, because the ...

Could the Pokémon Let’s Go Titles Add Other Regions as DLC?

When watching the trailer for Pokémon Let's Go Pikachu and Pokémon Let's Go Eevee, I began to wonder about the decision to focus on Generation 1 Pokémon. Personally, I really like the idea of doing this, and cannot wait to relive Pokémon Yellow as I play this game with my eight year old kid, who's never experienced Generation 1! But what about subsequent generations? What about the people show grew up with Pokémon Silver and Pokémon Gold? I've had a crazy thought, and...it is crazy.

Let's dive in!

Bethesda Event PAX East

One of the highlights of my PAX East Experience was Bethesda Gameplay Day on April 7th. During this time, guests had the opportunity to play The Elder Scrolls Online: Summerset, The Elder Scrolls: Legends – Houses of Morrowind, Quake Champions, and try Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus on the Nintendo Switch! Ironically, the event was not in the convention center, so people didn’t even need a PAX badge to attend what was essentially a gameplay party including food, drinks, and possibly even SWAG. Yes, I said it, there was EPIC swag! Heart hands, thanks Bethesda!

Hyrule Warriors Definitive Edition a Love Letter to Zelda Console Titles

When playing through Hyrule Warriors over the weekend, I quickly realized something that I've probably known for a long time: Hyrule Warriors is a love letter to all the previous Zelda console titles, and really brings all those nostalgic feels back when playing in specific areas, using specific characters, and hearing specfici tunes. Although the game isn't what you might expect from a Zelda experience - don't let that deter you Zelda fans! - there is something really great here that long time console franchise fans will love!

Fae – Board Game Review

Back in 2002, Z-Man games released a title called Clans, a quick 30 minute experience that had players moving pawns around a fantasy map to score points. For what ever reason - perhaps Clans was very popular? - Z-Man decided to relaunch the game under a new coat of paint, and in 2018 released the refreshed version of Clans called Fae. Fae is designed by Leo Colovini, and is a 2-4 player, 30 minute experience that, like Clans, has players moving druids around a map in order to score points. Let's dive in and take a look!
