Ubisoft released a number of fantastic games in 2018, and any one of them would make a fantastic gift under the tree for that special someone in your life...may be yourself! Nintendo announced a Smash Bros Direct and a Treehouse Live for this Thursday. We have more details below and my thoughts on the two events. The Super Smash Bros Ultimate Direct will air on Thursday (11/1) at 10 a.m. ET and be 40 minutes long. Despite the small screen size and clutter user interface, playing Civilization 6 on the iPhone was still a fantastic experience, which is forcing me to backtrack comments I made via twitter about the game. We all know how fantastic the Civilization franchise is, and it's been a staple on the PC for over a decade. Now with the franchise available on iPhone and iPad, consoles, and the PC, there literally is no excuse for anyone to not give the game a try.

Thanks to our good friends at The LEGO Group, we had the opportunity to build and review LEGO set #60194, the Arctic Scout Truck. At roughly 59.99 USD, this set doesn't meet our 10 cents / piece threshold that deems a LEGO set a good value, but offers up enough unique pieces that make it a worthwhile purchase anyway.
